What is Morning Sickness ?
Hyperemesis gravidarum (from Greek hyper and emesis and Latin gravida; meaning “excessive vomiting of pregnant women”) is a severe form of morning sickness, Nausea & vomiting during pregnancy. Although morning sickness is more common in the morning, it can happen any time of the day or night. For many women, evening is also a time the nausea bothers them. Usually morning sickness occurs during the first trimester and ends for most women between weeks 11 – 16 of the pregnancy.
What Causes Morning Sickness ?
The elevated levels of pregnancy hormones cause nausea & vomiting in pregnancy.Nausea may result when you’ve gone for a number of hours without eating & your blood sugar level is low.

Pregnancy Tips To Prevent Morning Sickness or Nausea
* Avoid large meals,eat smaller amounts at regular intervals. ,try not to go more than three or four hours between eating
* Don’t rush out of the bed quickly. Once you are awake close your eyes again relax or hear soft music before getting out of bed.
* Drink More water and juice to avoid morning sickness. Stay hydrated. If water doesn’t agree with you, try to drink fruit juice.
* Rest as much as you can as feeling tiredness makes the feeling worse and can cause severe morning sickness with increased headache.
* Try to avoid smells and food that make you feel worse also avoid perfumes or aroma which cause headache or nausea
* lemony aroma may stop nausea.
* Avoid eating spicy or fatty foods,low fat digest is preferred as fat digest in your stomach more slowly than carbohydrates & protein.
* Wear loose clothes to avoid excessive pressure on your stomach
* Yoga prevents morning sickness improves breating system
* Focus on easy-to-digest carbohydrates, such as baked potato chips, crackers, toast, fruits, & vegetables.Keep munching a carrot, an apple or a sandwich every hour or so.
* The best herbal remedy is intake of ginger,red raspberry leaf.
* Vitamin B-6 and Folic Acid may prevent morning sickness . Consult your doctor before you take any medicine.Avoid Self medication.

You remind me of the days when my wife was pregnant and both my boys now were age 11+ and 4+ respectively. Those were the days..haha
